How It Works

Your magazine is crafted just for you — and you get to shape it every step of the way.

1. Preview Your Magazine

After you submit your details, we generate a preview of your magazine — including a custom cover and sample pages. You'll receive a link to view it right away.

2. Request Changes (Before Payment)

Not quite right? No problem. On the preview page, tap the feedback button to tell us what you'd like changed. You can:

  • Describe changes in your own words (fix a name, adjust the style, change a detail)
  • Upload reference photos so we know exactly what you have in mind

We'll generate a change plan showing you exactly what we'll fix. Those changes are applied when you proceed to payment — so you only pay for a magazine you're happy with.

3. Pay & Get Your Full Magazine

Once you're happy with the preview (and any changes you requested), proceed to checkout. After payment, we generate your complete 40-page magazine — including all the articles, images, and your approved changes. You'll receive a review link by email.

4. Review Your Full Magazine

Your review page shows every page of your magazine — cover, back cover, and all interior pages. Scroll through and make sure everything looks great.

At the bottom of the page, you'll see two options:

  • ✓ ApproveEverything looks good — send it to print!
  • ✎ ChangesSomething needs fixing — open the feedback form

5. Request Changes (After Payment)

If something isn't right in your full magazine, tap "Changes" and tell us what to fix. Just like before, you can:

  • Write a description of what needs changing
  • Upload up to 5 reference photos (family members, pets, specific looks you want)
  • Add captions to each photo explaining what we should take from it

We'll make the changes and update your magazine. You can submit additional rounds of feedback — each time, we'll apply the fixes and let you review again.

6. The 24-Hour Window

After your full magazine is generated, you have 24 hours to review it and request any changes. This gives you plenty of time to look through every page at your own pace.

What happens after 24 hours?

If you haven't responded within 24 hours, we'll assume you're happy with it and automatically approve your magazine for printing. If you need more time, just submit your feedback or reach out to us before the window closes.

Common Questions

Can I upload photos of other people to include in the magazine?

Yes! When requesting changes, you can upload reference photos of family members, friends, pets — anyone you'd like to see in your magazine. Add a caption to each photo so we know who they are and where you'd like them to appear.

How many rounds of changes can I request?

There's no hard limit. After each round of changes is applied, you can review again and request more if needed. We want you to be completely happy with your magazine before it goes to print.

What kinds of changes can I request?

Almost anything! Common requests include fixing names or spellings, changing how someone looks in an image, adjusting the style of illustrations, adding or removing people from scenes, changing text content, or swapping in your own photos.

Do preview changes cost extra?

No. Changes you request on the preview are included in your purchase — they're applied automatically when you pay. You only pay once for your magazine.

How long do changes take?

Most changes are applied within a few hours. Complex requests (like regenerating many images) may take a bit longer. You'll see a status update on your review page, and we'll email you when your updated magazine is ready to review.

What if I miss the 24-hour window?

If your magazine was auto-approved and you notice something after the fact, reach out to us at support@magazineofyou.com and we'll do our best to help before it ships.
